On TV Moldova1, Eugenia Gusilov discussed the EU Solar Strategy and the European Solar Rooftops Initiative, both part of REPowerEU adopted in May 2022. The goal is a spectacular leap in Europe's installed solar capacity from 136 GW at the end of 2020 to 320 GW by 2025. This represents more than a doubling of 2020 capacity and an installation rate of 46 GW per year.

In the coming years, Europe will see an unprecedented boom in the rooftop solar segment with photovoltaic panels installed on roofs. Unlike previous periods focusing almost exclusively on commercial solar and wind parks, future focus shifts toward generation as close as possible to consumption points across all types of buildings. #solarenergy #solarevolution
