Romania Energy Center (ROEC) in partnership with the Institute of Energy for South East Europe (IENE) and the European Commission representation in Bucharest are joining forces once again to convene a one-day event to examine current topics of the region’s energy agenda. Our central theme – energy policies currently pursued in South East Europe and the changes in the aftermath of Russia’s invasion in Ukraine.

Moderated by Daniela Staicu (Associate Professor at Bucharest University of Economic Studies), the final panel in our conference that took place on March 13 featured presentations by:
• George Satlas (IGB) on the Vertical Gas Corridor
• Otilia Nutu (Expert Forum) on Energy Transition: how fast is too fast and how slow is too slow?
• Costas Theofylaktos (IENE) on energy efficiency and cogeneration
• John Dovelos (Asprofos Engineering) on geothermal energy
