Public communication during energy crises requires coherence. Asking citizens to save energy while broadcasting public events with thousands of lights creates a contradictory message that needs improvement.

Losing a fifth of national production from Cernavodă creates a system shock, and expensive emergency energy imports will inevitably reflect in autumn contracts. Meanwhile, the national energy dispatcher balances the grid, and interruptible consumer lists protect the network without leaving the population without power.

Regarding storage, batteries naturally absorb energy at noon and discharge it after 19:00. Beyond the immediate crisis, the broader issue is a poorly managed energy transition. While keeping the Oltenia Energy Complex alive addressed social needs, channeling state funds into Cernavodă reactors 3 and 4 would have secured new capacity and reduced import dependency.
