In a dialogue with B1.ro, Eugenia Gusilov analyzed the promulgation of the dynamic excise law (Law 162/2026). She pointed out that the measure is currently too weak to halt rising fuel prices at the pump and will fail to keep diesel prices below 10 lei per liter as initially intended in July.
Furthermore, the dynamic excise will only begin to produce practical effects starting August 16, despite the law entering into force on August 7.
