On March 24, on TV Moldova1, Eugenia Gusilov discussed the Russian attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure that knocked the 440 kV Isaccea-Vulcanesti power line out of operation. Because part of the power line passes through Ukraine, which faces daily attacks, Moldova's electricity supply remains inherently vulnerable to these strikes.
Following these discussions, it was announced that after demining operations in the area, actual repairs would take a week, with Moldelectrica reimbursing the Ukrainian side for the repair costs.
