On B1.tv, Eugenia Gusilov analyzed the situation one year after the outbreak of the war, examining how the crisis affected Romania and how the country responded. The positive news is that Russia's energy weapon has been neutralized, and the current situation is stable.
However, the negative aspect is that relaxation is premature. Although consumers remain protected under the capping and compensation scheme until the end of March 2025, the state, companies, individuals, and civil society must all strive to make essential macro and micro-investments to boost energy autonomy. Relying solely on favorable weather for the next winter is not a viable strategy.
The year 2023 is crucial for accessing European funds in energy and other sectors, bringing an unprecedented number of financing opportunities. A total of 534 calls for projects will be launched, comprising 490 through Cohesion Policy and 44 through the PNRR. Because the volume of calls in subsequent years will be significantly lower, attention and efforts must prioritize 2023.
