The conversation covered several critical energy topics, ranging from the Cernavoda nuclear power plant and the current energy crisis to hydropower plants that needed completion while balancing environmental concerns with energy security.

The dialogue also addressed the closure of coal-fired power plants as part of the energy transition, the status of gas-fired plants such as the Jordanian investment in Mindia versus unbuilt projects at Energy Complex Oltenia, electricity exports to the Republic of Moldova, and electricity imports from Bulgaria and Ukraine.
