During an appearance on StirileProTV, Eugenia Gusilov addressed the ongoing economic slowdown. Data from the National Institute of Statistics show that industrial production decreased by 5% in the first 9 months compared to last year, while manufacturing dropped by 4.6% and the extractive industry grew by 3.7%.

Final electricity consumption dropped across the economy by 5.2%, by 10.9% in the residential sector, and by 22.7% in public lighting. Conversely, hydropower generation surged by 39.6%.

Economic operators remain prudent. Major industrial consumers are slowly returning, but activity has not fully recovered, as seen with Azomureș operating well below potential.
