CEE Energy Forum 2011
Romania in a regional context: the energy market and financing of energy projects
On September 15th, 2011, took place the CEE Energy Forum 2011, a Medien Conferences event organized with the support of IRE and ROEC in partnership with the law firm White & Case. The conference at the Intercontinental Hotel in Bucharest was marked by the presence of notable speakers.
The two sessions of the event brought together state officials as well as representatives of both state owned and private energy companies.The morning session, moderated by Alexandru Săndulescu (Director General in the Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Business Environment (MECBE), the Department for Energy, Oil and Gas), was dedicated to the Romanian energy market in a regional context. Among the speakers were Ilarion Popa – Vice-minister of Economy in the Republic of Moldova; Corina-Alexandrina Gătej – AmCham President; Radu Dudău – ROEC Executive Director and Associate Professor at the University of Bucharest; Teodor-Ovidiu Pop – IRE President and Director General of Verbund Romania; and Bogdan Atanasiu, BPIE expert in energy efficiency.
